Curative Collective
Eddy Royal
Curative has worked across a variety of kaupapa with young people at the heart.
For many of these projects, we’ve hosted co-design cohorts who have helped us understand what’s happening in communities. We’ve worked together to build beautiful ideas and responses together.
This has seen us host late-night making spaces with Unfold, take over the halls of parliament with The Hive, build a full arcade to prevent vaping harm with the Hā Collective, create a beautiful campaign from the seed of an idea with Te Kapa Manawa, and so much more. All of this mahi with young people co-designing ideas and solutions has shown us just how much power, strength, creativity, play and possibility can happen when we create the right space for taiohi voices to be heard.
So, we’ve decided that this is work that we need to continue. And, to do this, we’re looking to build a new ‘Curative Collective’ of youth co-designers.
If you’re aged 16-22, naturally curious, care about your community, and you’re full of creative ideas – then this could be a great learning opportunity for you.
