Born and raised across Te Moana-nui-a-kiwa, Chanel migrated with his family to Tāmaki Makaurau in 1988. Now a graphic artist and designer based in Tāmaki, Chanel is deeply interested in traditional Pacific art forms and motifs. These alongside Pacific storytelling have always been his earliest artistic influences and he continues today to draw inspiration from the Pacific diaspora.
