Dinner with a Difference
Thought Leadership Experience
Leadership New Zealand
Leadership New Zealand's annual Dinner with a Difference is a dinner for leaders, unlike any other. Interactive and thought provoking from entrance to exit, it’s a unique networking opportunity in a learning environment tackling the challenges of today. Every year Curative works to make sure the event lives up to its name, by delivering an unpredictable, challenging and unforgettable night that explores, in-depth, Leadership New Zealand's theme for the year.
This involves the creation and rollout of an identity system that can evolve every year to best fit the theme, a microsite to promote the event, digital and physical visual collateral for the evening and the curation of the evenings activities.
For the 2018 iteration we explored Awakened Leadership in the future of work. Through the night we discussed how we can best prepare ourselves, our people, and our organisations to adapt, respond, or drive change in the face of automation, AI and unknown technological advances.
To help the audience engage with the theme we developed a minimalistic, kinetic identity system, that hinted at machine learning and futurist aesthetics. The evening showcased the work of AUT students experimenting with creative technologies and over a vegetarian meal, invited industry experts to share their perspectives in a panel discussion. Finally, we closed the evening by playing with personas, exploring the challenges and opportunities around technological advances in the workplace.
