Fair Trade Auckland

Fair Trade Auckland

Fair Trade campaigners have been appealing to the Auckland Council for several years to make Auckland a Fair Trade City, joining a network of more than 1000 towns and cities around the world who actively promote, advocate and support a fair trading system.

A decision came just four weeks before Fairtrade Fortnight that Auckland was now ready to be a Fair Trade City, and Curative was approached to help leverage this occasion to announce the news. This included designing a new brand, developing a website, clarifying messaging and direction for media relations and creative development and implementation of an event with Mayor Len Brown and key ambassadors for Fair Trade Auckland.

At very short notice we had a big announcement to make about Auckland gaining Fair Trade City status. We were very excited about this news but as a busy team of diverse volunteers we had limited time and resources. We needed help to ensure that the public was engaged in an interactive and creative way about the big news. We wanted a professional, creative approach that could help us deliver within a limited time frame.

The Curative team pulled together the resources needed to develop a brand, website, communications and event planning in order to make the announcement a success. Curative shared the values of our team and brought the professional communications skills to the project to uncover our vision for the project and ensure it was delivered.

We are proud of the branding, website and event that the Curative team worked on us with us and we highly recommend the innovative approach the team took in developing a unique project. From day one Eddy and Jade worked with our very limited timeframe and went further than was expected to deliver an innovative project. We look forward utilizing Curatives unique approach in future projects and suggest without hesitation their skills to other organizations.
